I now understand why they call it the "beast". I knew it looked sturdy when seeing it on the website, but it's when I picked up the package that I realized I had completely under estimated its size and build. This thing is BEEF. It weighs a ton, and nothing I mount to it makes it feel week or over-worked. I like the other notchers a lot, but as far as hole-saw notchers go, this one is in a league of its own. Thanks for making quality tools that I'm not scared to use.

As soon as I pulled it out of the box I knew why its called "THE BEAST". I cant think of a better name for this tool. It must weigh 60 LB's. Its very well constructed and super heavy duty. Very easy to assemble and use. You can do anything with this notcher. Really versatile design. Heavy duty ball bearing housing for the polished steel shaft. Real easy to clamp work into fixture and adjust angle. Since you have so many options for clamping the tube into the fixture, you can even notch very short pieces of tube. Unlike most notchers where the tube has to be at leased 8" long just to clamp it in. I also like how it works with a standard Chuck drill. you don't need a monster drill to use it. I'm very happy with this product and you will be too. Don't expect it to look like the picture. Product is black, not polished. Also, expect the shipping time listed in the description. Best Bang for the Buck.

Over the years, I've bought enough tube notchers to make an anchor for a very large boat. The Beast is the first that lives up to expectations. And it goes beyond that! It shipped on time, is heavily built - almost over-built - goes together well, and makes accurate cuts the first time, every time. The balance of energy built into the design means that once a cut is set, ther is no wandering or shifting. The Beast makes everything stay put right where it is set, so what you see is what you get. The unique design feature of being able to notch in the middle of a curve is worth the price all by itself. I don't know of another notching jig that can do that, or is so well-made. It eliminates tedious mill set-ups in prototyping, cuts scrap completely out (used carefully) and is easier than a heavy mill on the hole saws. The most impressive reccommendation is that it made our shop foreman happy, and the constant complaints about prototypes from the welding department has ceased! The Beast is reasonably priced, given all it can do. No reservations - this one is five stars all the way around.
